My 13 Year Old Siamese Cat Has Licked The Fur Off His Stomach.?

He scratched it on some wire 2 months ago. He took all the fur and top layer of skin off by constantly licking. I took him to the vet. He gave him a steroid injection and a presciption for pregnant female cat hormones which was supposed to calm him down.
I also used a Feliway diffuser near his bed to make him feel happy and less stressed. Non of this is working. I have resorted to putting him in a body stocking made out of the thigh part of a pair of thick tights with 4 holes cut for his legs.

I take this of every day and give him a good brushing, which he loves, but if I don’t put it back on right away he is attacking the fur on his stomach again. I left it off for few hours and he took all the fur from around one of his nipples.

What am I to do ? He is an old darling, very affectionate and loving and doesn’t mind too much about his ‘cat suit’ but I am looking for a cure. Perhaps homeopathy. Read more »

May anyone consider giving me some acne remedies?
(Home rememdies, Homeopathy, Cleasners, ETC.)
My dad is suppose to go out for me and get me whatever I want because I am passing a school class (With an A finally!), and I’m suppose to tell him by tomorrow. So any ideas?
P.S.: I don’t want an answer like “Visit a dermatologist…” because, as I know, since I am under the age of 18 and it’ll be pointless because of the fact that it’s my hormones. BUT it doesn’t mean that acne isn’t ruining my self esteem so please give me answers that’ll actually help me?! =( Read more »

I have tried every single acne remedy in the last 6-7 years, including all available antibiotics on the market, homeopathy, diet and lifestyle changes, detoxification, facepacks, herbal remedies, you name it. Recently I decided to return to antibiotics. I’m using erythromycin pills and clindamycin gel. It’s worked very well for the acne on my forehead.. but absolutely nothing for the acne on my chin.

I’m 24, been on the pill for around +-8 years. Stopped pill in May which was when I had last period. No period since then. Went to OBGYN everything is perfect except when I went for blood test. Thryoid problem. Hormone TSH is too high.

Took eltroxin for 6 weeks made hormones too low. No medication for a month and then back to the doctor. If no period or hormones have not settled he wants to send me to a fertility specialist. who will probably put me on clomid and if that doesn’t work then onto IVF. the Fertility specialist sounds good.

I was on the pill for 5 years and stopped 8 months ago. As I haven’t had periods ever since, I’ve consulted my gynecologist, had an ultrasound and been diagnosed with cysts. Although my gynecologyst told me it’s a syndrome caused by the pill, she didn’t mention PCOS and only advised me to wait as I’m quite young (24) and don’t want to get pregnant at the moment, so no drastic cure is needed. But I’ve just checked on the internet and I’m terrified. Before getting on the pill I had no problems at all. Also, I’ve been losing weight these last 8 months (I’ve even lost my appetite a bit) and I don’t have the excessive hair growth, but otherwise this sounds like PCOS.
